Question
hello i am a 25f and am having a diagnostic laparoscopy on 3/14. yesterday my dentist gave me pennecilin for a tooth infection. i cant talk to my surgeon until tuesday but i was wondering if this will postpone the surgery or make it more risky, i am having general anastesia. thank you. im suppose to take the pills until wed and the surgery is friday

Answer
Call you surgeon's office on Monday and tell them what you just told me.  The message will be relayed to him or her via the office nurse.  Be certain you tell receptionist who answers the phone you need to speak with the nurse or doctor regarding an upcoming surgery.  Do not take "No," for an answer.  If she persists, let her know this could be a career jeopardizing decision as real patient care is involved and she is not qualified to make the decision.

In all probability, you will be fine for surgery but your efforts to assist the physician will be appreciated. Hope this helps.
