General Surgery/Endometrial Ablation

Question
Hello,
Please can you help me.  I had a novasure endometrial ablation performed 8 weeks ago and am still not feeling well.  My main concern is that I have a feeling on the right side internally inside my vagina right up to the inside right of my back passage of stinging, full, pressure, bruised and swollen sensations which are making me feel very uncomfortable and miserable.  This feeling does sometimes go away for a couple days but then comes back.  I cannot find any particular pattern with this, ie resting or exercise, it will vary. I am concerned as the nurse said that the gyne tried to make the device open out bigger as my womb was a little large, but could not, so ablated the right side properly but may not have managed the left side. I had what was thought an infection at 2/3 weeks and took antibiotics which cleared up the infection, ie discharge.  I still feel tired and low in spirits and troubled by the internal pain.  I have been back to my doctor a few times and they seem unconcerned.  I wish I hadn't had this done, I feel miserable. Do I have some damage? I have generally felt unwell but do not have a fever. Please help. Lou

Answer
Dear Lou,

Without examining you, this is a difficult question to answer. My best advice is to get a second opinion from a different office in a different city. I say this because you will get an opinion with fesh eyes with no pre-conceived ideas. Hope this helps.
