Question
Hi

Which is better: "customer's traffic" or "customer traffic" and why? I don't have any context to write you more.

Also: Which of these two sentences are right:
1. We'll consider your application once you have translated a sample text and sent it out to us.

or

Once you translate a sample text and send it out to us we will consider your application.

Which is better and why?

THANK YOU

Answer
Hi Luke,

The correct phrase would be "customer traffic".  "Customer" is an adjective that describes what kind of traffic.  For example you might say "road traffic" or "drug traffic" in just the same way.  To use the phrase "customer's traffic" means "traffic of the customer" since an apostrophe shows ownership or possession.  In this instance, that would not make sense.

For your second question, it would be best to say, " We'll consider your application once you have translated a sample text and sent it out to us."  This is preferable because the important part of the sentence is "We'll consider...."  The writer is focusing on the purpose for his requirement.
