Question
Hi Jerry!

Please have a look at these sentences and tell me if they are OK. If it's possible, please do not change them.

1. I'll be away as I have to fix a few matters, so I won't be available next week. ---is the word "fix" OK? what other words would you use?

2. If your hair is wet do you go to sleep? OR If your hair is wet you go to sleep? ---which of these two is more correct?

3. This is something I've been taught, that's why I want to do it.

4. He wanted to brush up his knowledge about teaching German.

5. You have to dry your hands when you washed them OR after having washed them. ---which is correct?

6. It was nice to talk to you OR It was nice talking to you
--are both possible?

7. Is it better to ask (when I want to know where someone lives now) "Where did you stay?" OR "Where do you stay?"

8. Is it alright to say: You will sit at the front and you will sit at the back. ---is it possible to say "to the front"?

Try these:

1. tend to, attend to, straighten out, improve, look into

2. Do not go to bed when your hair is wet.

3. This is something I've been taught; that's why I want to do it.

4. He wanted to brush up his German teaching skills.

5. You have to dry your hands when you wash them. or  ...after you wash them.

6. yes, both are possible

7. lives is present so do you stay is better

8. in the front and at (or in) the back
