About Martha Beth Lewis
Expertise I will answer questions having to do with grammar, plurals, punctuation, capitalization, mood, person, tense, and so on, as well as word usage and word choice. If you want a quick answer to a specific question, particularly if you wish to use formal American English for business or academic purposes (MLA), I can give you a timely response. I also can address word choice, clarity, structure, and similar concerns involving English as a second language. If you want advice of a deeper editorial nature (e.g., substantive [line] editing), please consult an Expert who offers this sort of assistance.
Experience I was employed as an editor for the graduate school at a major U.S. university and specialized in dissertations. I have over 200 publications in professional journals, consumer magazines, and newspapers. I am the author of five books and numerous syllabi in an arts field. I also am a freelance line editor, copyeditor, and proofreader (over 40 years), and I have written or edited countless community organizations' newsletters and promotional materials.
Organizations Note: When using a word as a word in a sentence, such as:
Put a period after the word dog,
=dog= should be set in italics.
Since I do not have access to italics here, I shall use = on either side of the word or phrase that properly should appear in italics. For the above example:
Put a period after the word =dog=.
Also, ~~please do not mark your questions as private~~. I will change them to public because I don't want to type the same answer twice! Thanks for your understanding.
Publications If you submit a question to other Experts, I'd appreciate it if you would not submit it to me, also. It's like asking several people out on a date and choosing among those who said yes! This implies my time and particular expertise is worth nothing to you. Remember: I'm a volunteer!
Education/Credentials Education
B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa

Awards and Honors I ask that you ~~come back to read my answer~~. I've taken time to write the best response I can, so you should come back to read it! It's disheartening to respond to a question, only to see later that the person has not bothered to come back. Remember: I'm a volunteer!
Past/Present Clients I am happy to help you - that's why I volunteered - but please remember I *am* a volunteer and extend me normal courtesies such as no multiple submissions and not bothering to come back for your answer.

How were the Pyramids built?
A pyramid is a constructed tomb mainly for famous Egyptian rulers.Since they believed there is another life after death. This triangular monument has at least four faces and converge at a point, reaching up to the sky. In short, ancient Egyptians were great architects, engineers, plus many more for building pyramids.
Historians believed those limestones from quarries, were well-chipped with the help of the simple stone and copper tools. They were moreover supervised with the watchful eyes of master stonemasons .Since each block had to fit snugly just as the piece of a gigantic puzzle. It is an amazing hard task without our latest technology methods.
Clearly mentioned from the carvings of the old tombs, all those heavy blocks were dragged across the sand by the barges, sledges or rollers as wheels was not yet invented. The hard ground was then lubricanting with water for easy transportating and reducing friction.Even poor animals and hundreds of slaves were slogging day and night.
About raising such massive blocks is another hard solution.Probably they were raised by the construction of earthen ramps.Their tops were covered with Tafla, the kind of clay which was slippery when in wet.Meanwhile the exterior made of mud bricks and the interior was filled with sand and rubble. It is mentioned, at the same time of pyramid building, these ramps were built however they were demolishing soon when it was fully done.
In fact, there was a huge battery team of effective people toiling hard for the completion of many triangularical monuments, mostly near the River Nile.Although, they were just employed or applied with the simple man-made tools along. They worked together successfully with a huge sense of skilful power or knowledgeable
Finally,“The Great Pyramid of Giza” is considered as one of the 12 wonders of the world. There is a great mystery for many years, of designing and constructing pyramids. I bet you shall view them with awe when touring to Cairo of your next trip.
Answer I do not do this type of help, but I will do this for you one time, ok? I help with grammar, not composition.
How were the Pyramids built?
How Were the Pyramids Built?
[cap all words except =the= because it's the title]
A pyramid is a constructed tomb mainly for famous Egyptian rulers.Since they believed there is another life after death.
The most famous pyramids are constructed as tombs for famous ancient Egyptian rulers because the ancient Egyptians believed there is another life after death.
[=since they believed there is another life after death= is not a complete sentence. You must attach it to something else.]
This triangular monument has at least four faces and converge at a point, reaching up to the sky.
This triangular monument has at least four faces. Their points converge at a point, reaching up to the sky.
In short, ancient Egyptians were great architects, engineers, plus many more for building pyramids.
[You have not said anything about why they are considered great architects and engineers. You have described a pyramid only.]
Historians believed those limestones from quarries, were well-chipped with the help of the simple stone and copper tools.
Historians believe [present tense] those limestone blocks from quarries [remove comma] were smoothed with the help of simple stone and copper tools.
They were moreover supervised with the watchful eyes of master stonemasons .Since each block had to fit snugly just as the piece of a gigantic puzzle.
These tasks were supervised under the watchful eyes of master stonemasons since each block each block had to fit snugly as if pieces of a gigantic puzzle.
It is an amazing hard task without our latest technology methods.
It is an amazing achievement without using modern technology.
Clearly mentioned from the carvings of the old tombs, all those heavy blocks were dragged across the sand by the barges, sledges or rollers as wheels was not yet invented.
It is clear from carvings on old tombs that the heavy blocks were dragged across the sand by barges, sledges, [insert comma] or rollers, as the wheel was not invented yet.
The hard ground was then lubricanting with water for easy transportating and reducing friction.
The hard ground was then lubricated with water for reducing friction and making transporting the blocks easier.
Even poor animals and hundreds of slaves were slogging day and night.
Ok
About raising such massive blocks is another hard solution.
Raising such massive blocks was [this happened long ago] another hard problem [=solution= is how a problem is fixed].
Probably they were raised by the construction of earthen ramps.
ok
Their tops were covered with Tafla, the kind of clay which was slippery when in wet.
Meanwhile the exterior made of mud bricks and the interior was filled with sand and rubble.
The exterior was made of mud bricks called tafla, [add comma; two separate sentences] and the interior was filled with sand and rubble.
[no need for =meanwhile=]
[lower case =T= for =tafla=]
It is mentioned, at the same time of pyramid building, these ramps were built however they were demolishing soon when it was fully done.
These ramps were constructed [you used =built= in the sentence; a different word is needed] at the same time the pyramid was being built and were demolished when the building was completed.
In fact, there was a huge battery team of effective people toiling hard for the completion of many triangularical monuments, mostly near the River Nile.
Since there was so much work to be done, there were a large number of people toiling to complete these triangular monuments, most of which are [present tense since they are still there!] near the River Nile.
[=triangularical= is not a word]
Although, they were just employed or applied with the simple man-made tools along. They worked together successfully with a huge sense of skilful power or knowledgeable.
Although they worked with simple man-made tools, their skill and knowledge combined for a successful result.
[must be joined in one sentence]
Finally, “The Great Pyramid of Giza” is considered as one of the 12 wonders of the world.
The Great Pyramid of Giza is considered as one of the 12 wonders of the world.
[don't need =finally=]
[don't need quotation marks - this is not the title of a book]
There is a great mystery for many years, of designing and constructing pyramids.
How the pyramids were built was a great mystery for many years.
[how they were designed has been known since the pyramids were built]
I bet you shall view them with awe when touring to Cairo of your next trip.
They are awe-inspiring, so don't miss seeing them when you are touring Cairo on your next trip.
