Question
Dear Ted:

You wrote the following:

Under usual circumstances, the husband's name is non-essential, so Marco would be placed within quotation marks.

My question is this:

Why did you write, ".....so Marco would be placed within QUOTATION MARKS" and not ".....so Marco would be placed within COMMAS"?

Again, many, many thanks for your valuable help.

Paolo

Answer
Dear Paolo:

Why did you write, ".....so Marco would be placed within QUOTATION MARKS" and
not ".....so Marco would be placed within COMMAS"?

*** Because I am stupid.  Because I had just finished answering several questions about quotation marks, and my mind couldn't "adjust" to a new topic.

Forgive me.

Are you running to be the next pope?

Ted
