Is there any difference between the following two sentences?

1) He HAD his beard shaved.

2) He GOT his beard shaved.

Is there any difference between the following two sentences?

1) He HAD his beard shaved.

2) He GOT his beard shaved.

*** There is NO difference. The "preferred" version [as I tried to explain in a previous message] is #1.

In actuality, a great number of people use #1 and a great number of people use #2.
