What does that mean by "high strung" as in the context where a sepcific race is characterized as?
I appreciate your answer.

Ken,

People who are "high strung" are Type A personalities: high energy, irritible, nervous, high tension, high boiling point, and quick to react people.

Although not always negative, these people are difficult to be around for long periods of time.

The term is derived from a musical instrument that is too tighly strung (violin) and might break or pop at any minute.
