About Katie Bischoff Expertise I have been making webpages for 5 years. I have worked with everything from Geocities to Dencity to CuteHTML. I can answer almost any question you have, be it about programming in general or different programs to use.
Experience I have been making websites for 5+ years, and I currently run 10 different sites. I went from having a site on Geocities to having my own domain, and in the process I've used quite a few different programs to ccomplish what I wanted.
Question I would like to become an expert in web develpment so i would like you to tell me that which areas should i cover in order to become an expert.I would be glad if you also tell me the name of some good books and websites related to web development?
Answer You should begin by learning basic HTML. It is the most widely used programming language and is very easy to pick up. Once you have learned HTML, you should learn Javascript. It's also pretty easy, and enables you to do cool things with your website. You should also learn how to use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro - they are the two best programs to make images for your website. I would recommend going to www.htmlgoodies.com - it has everything you need to know about HTML and Javascript, and that's how I taught myself. As for books, HTML for Dummies is a great way to get stared as well. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, please let me know.
