Question I'm building my first web page on geocities and everything has worked so far except my sound files.
I've uploaded a self recorded wav file and it is in File Manager. I've set it up in the Page Builder to play as background music. The little sound icon even shows up on my building page but no sound happens. I've also written html in for a sound file with a tool bar..still no sound and the little icon doesn't appear on the preview.
I changed it to an 8bit mono file but it still took a long time to upload. I hear lots of music on web pages and the files always seem to load fairly fast. What are they doing to make this happen?
I have made a CD and want to have samples of the songs on my web page but I guess I really don't know what to do.
If you could offer any help or suggestions, I would be really grateful. Thanks so much

Have you got your speakers turned on? It plays fine for me (and very beautiful it is too - what a wonderful website!) What browser are you using? I use MIE, and I have Windows Media Player installed (all free downloads off the Net - I can't remember the URL but you should be able to find it with a simple search.
