Subject: how is urbanisation resulting to the loss of biological diversity?

Question
please can u reply fast bout how urbanisation leads to destruction of biological diversity?

Answer
Hi Sanmeet,

Biological diversity requires the natural environment.  If a forest is cut down in order to grow corn, the biodiversity of the land has been reduced by the number of species now able to live on that same plot of ground.  If it is only corn, then all of the previous plants, and animals are reduced to one species.  The same is true if a building is built on what was once natural environment.
