Question
what is directed irrigation?

Answer
Hi Meenal,

Directed irrigation is also called plant drip irrigation.  In this system, a hose with attachments is laid through the field and the water outlet drip tubes are placed at the base of the plant.  This system puts water right where the plant needs it but in small quantities so that the water is not wasted in the soil around the plant.  Each plant gets its own water tube.
