What are the 3 seacoasts in North America and why are they so important to the US(geographic wise, what did it help us with)
PS. Can you also say why the US's latitude is so important, please be as specific as you can
Hi Ian, been on vaca. Missed seeing your question. 3 seacoasts: Pacific, Gulf and Atlantic. Some say we have a fourth and that would be the Arctic Ocean.
Why are they important? 1) they make commerce with the rest of the world much easier 2) it gives us access to fisheries in all three areas. 3) it gives us access to the mineral wealth in all four coastal areas.
Our latitude gives us a very broad range of climates from tropical (Hawaii) to polar (Alaska). It also provides a broad area for agriculture that allows us to feed the world.
