I,d like to work about exploration geology and interpretation of its data,stratigraphy and preparation of maps.I,m in iran now and here Ican find any usefull book or papers.could you help me about this prablem?could you explane for me about exploration data interpretation?

Dear Hesameddin,

First, try to collect as many local maps, published data and field reports as possible about the area you are working in. Try to divide the data in various categories, like Geological (logs and information about petroleum system) and Geophysical,(2D and 3D seismic and gravity/magnetics data) drilling and engineering, production,economics, environments, and government regulations, etc and then work systematically; basin and region wise and Petroleum System evaluation.

You have to figure out main essentials of petroleum system, (reservoirs, source rock, seals, timing of charge and maturation of the source rock) identify structures on seismic, evaluate their economic value and estimate their geological and technical risks

I am sure Iranian ministry for oil and gas must have developed a large data bank to sell to those companies interested in exploration and field development.

To access to these data sets is always available to the interested companies after getting necessary approvals from the concerned government agencies, I can't say about their local procedures and this you need to find out.

For published G&G data and articles try AAPG Bulletin and  Journal of Petroleum Geology and JPT. I know these journals have published many good papers about Iran.
