Geology - pangea

Question
Hello Fraser,

Sorry to bother you. How does someone get a Geologist to take a look at a new Theory for Pangea? I know its an off the wall question, but I believe I can prove what I'm saying. I was advised to contact local Geologists and have had no response back. I'm simply trying to find someone to take a look at a few pictures and give a little input.
                  Thank you for your time,
                                  Robert

Answer
Robert:
You will have to do the following I think:

Write up your idea.  Study some journals (like The Journal of Geology or any of the publications of the Geological Society of America) to see what format your paper should be in.

At the same time do a little search to see what other geologists have theorized about Pangea.  Send your paper to those geologists and ask for their comments.  Ideally, see if you can visit with them.
Conferences like the Geological Society of America annual meeting will have large concentrations of geologists from around the world and might be a good place to find people to talk to.

Once you have one or two people to agree with you, or at least listen to you, then try to get your ideas published in some professional journal.

If you want send me your ideas and drawings (fhamilton.at.earthconsulting.org) and I will give it a first pass.
Thanks
Fraser
