Aslam alekum . Sir i am geology student. plz tell me few software on Internet that mostly big petroleum companies use for their drilling,or petroleum purpose that i can learn bY using Internet. thx

Well there are so many softwares that are widely used in the industry. For geophysical and geological intepretation companies use the followings:

1-GeoFrame
2-LandMark Suits
3-Kingdom
4-Paradigm
5-HRS software
6-Petrel
7-SMT
9-OpendTect etc

I can answer to the questions related to the following disciplines mainly: geology, geophysics, general geomorphology, stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. I would like to answer Geophysical question too with keen interest specifically exploration related. I want to hear from users for their queries on exploration geophysics/geology. Especially, in the discipline of Reservoir Characterization from multi-discipline data. The questions related to basics and interpretational applications would be most welcome.
