I would like to answer Geophysical question too with keen interest specifically exploration related. I want to hear from users for their queries on exploration geophysics/geology. Its better if you study the seismic data, some key 2D lines in a basin edge and study the reflection patters and reconstruct the stratigraphic framework of that basin. Such case study will help you to develop yourself in this domain. So, I'll suggest you to interpret the seismic reflections of known basin. Either paper seismic or on workstation. You can write a proposal to your university on that.
