Question
What is a limb and hinge line?

Answer
Kashif,

These two terms are used to describe geometric elements of folded rocks.  To help you visualize the meaning of these terms lets do a simple demonstration.  Take a sheet of paper and fold it in half.  Each flat half of the sheet is a fold limb.  The hinge line is the crease where you have folded it.
