AboutFarrukh Qayyum Expertise I can answer questions related to following disciplines mainly: geology, geophysics, general geomorphology, stratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. I would like to answer Geophysical question too with keen interest specifically exploration related. I want to hear from users for their queries on exploration geophysics/geology. Especially, in the discipline of Reservoir Characterization from multi-discipline data. The questions related to basics and interpretational applications would be most welcome.
I can not answer the questions related to astronomly, ecology/environmetal sciences, mineralogy and petrology/petrophysics. Such categories are not my discipline of experience.

Question what are type and style of prospects and leads?
Answer Dear Abdulhadi,
The difference between the prospect and lead is that one is evaluated and the later isn't (proposed only). The styles or types of a prospect is related to the entrapment/trapping of the Hydrocarbons (HC). Their are two broad classification of traps - structural and stratigraphic. Combine (structural + stratigraphic) traps are rare. After evaluation from any geophysical data, a lead is proposed that is later on evaluated either by additional data or by using a well. The prospect is proposed soon after the evaluation. The styles is really academic word. No one uses this term directly. Nevertheless, the structural styles and types of traps are common usage of the industry. Thus, the straight forward answer is that you try to read about Structural styles and traps directly. Try to Google it, you will find more reading information on these words.
