Sir.I want to know how amplitude is effected by porosity,permeability, lithology and hydrocarbon. Thankyou

Sorry for a delayed response.

Seismic amplitude is a composite response of several rock properties as you already mentioned. It is not easy to sub-divide an amplitude into various rock properties. We deal with several types of amplitude responses:

1- Full offset stack amplitude
2- Near offset stack amplitude,
3- Mid offset stack amplitude,
4- Far offset stack amplitude
5- Amplitude vs. offset relationship (AVO)
6- Amplitude vs. frequency variations (AVF)

All amplitudes are in fact effected by rock properties. The net property is actually the rock impedance that is governed by fluid and lithologic effects. A porous rock containing hydrocarbons would give you a distinct AVO response and often a bright spot on 1, 2, 3, and 4. Similarly, the same rock that is dry, could give you a weak response. So, you might have noticed that here I am addressing to porosity with saturated rocks and unsaturated rocks. I am not addressing to a single rock property at a time.

Alternatively, we do seismic inversion so that we could relate rock properties with the seismic response. That is a common approach in our industry. We do not solely rely on the seismic amplitude itself without modelling and inversion.

I suggest you to read some literature and books that contain some examples. That would give you further insights about the directions that I tried to explain in this text.
