Question
Sir , what are the applications of engineering geology in civil engineering projects ? Kindly elaborate.

Answer
Maham

Before civil engineers can design a road or bridge or building, etc they have to understand the underlying subsurface conditions.  Depending on the nature of hte project this might include understanding the nature of the bedrock at considerable depth or just the soil and its origins at shallow depth.  The engineering geologist can help develop that understanding.

Hope this helps.
