Answer
The most important radioactive element important to the industry is uranium. Uraninite, UO2, is the most important mineral of economic interest. It can be found in a diverse range of sedimentary rocks at locations where oxidized fluids mix with reducing agents (electron donating agents). This mineral can be found in some sedimentary rocks such as sandstones.
