Hi!
Travelling near M'lore, i would like to know what is the type of the rock often found there (grey color, very hard).
i was told this rock is very old; is it true ?

Mangalore rocks -mainly lateritic types-laterites are formed due to lateritization process.Laterites are show brown and white patches.
Laterites are shown thi type of colouration.Source rocks are granitic gneisses-migmatites.
