Question
The measure of an angle is 3 times as great as its compliment. Which is measure of smaller angle? 22.5, 27.5, 63.5, or 67.5

Answer
The measure of the angle is X.

The angles compliment is 90°-X.

The problem states that X = 3(90°-X).

That works out to X = 270° - 3X.

Add 3X to both sides and you get 4X = 270°.

Divide both sides by 4 to get X = 67.5°.

The complement of 67.5° is 22.5°.

Yeah, that's in your list.
