Question
Numbers are 1 to 1000. What is the most common number used in the series and what is the least used?  I can only think that 0 is used the most and all other numbers used the least.

Answer
Hi Michael!

I would say the least used digit is 0.  This is because there is only one double zero per hundred.  For example, the numbers 110, 111, 112, 113... 119 are used, but 000, 001, 002... 009 are not.  For that reason, 0 is used the least.

Digits 2 through 9 are used equally, but the digit 1 has one more occurrence: in the number 1000.
