Question
3 times the measure of an angle is twice of it's compliment

Answer
The angle is X.
The complemt is 90-X.

We are given that 3X = 2(90-X).

This means that 3X = 180 - 2X, so add 2X to both sides of the equation.

This gives 5X = 180, so now we can divide by 5.

That is, X = 180/5 = 36.

3X = 108 and the complement of 36 is 90-36 = 54.  Note that 108 is suppose to be 2*54, and it is.
