Hello sir

Sir what are real numbers.

Hi Aishwarya,

Real numbers are "regular" numbers. This includes all positive and negative numbers, all whole numbers and decimal numbers.

Examples of numbers that are not real numbers are called complex numbers (also known as imaginary numbers). These numbers arise when we perform certain operations that aren't normally allowed, such as taking the square root of a negative number.

If you have a specific question regarding real numbers, feel free to ask a follow-up.

Thanks for asking,

Azeem
