Hello sir

Sir how to factorize the following

Xsquare - y square/100

Hi Aishwarya,

This form is a difference of squares. With practice, they will be easy to recognize. The factorization is as follows.

(aČ-bČ)=(a+b)(a-b)

In your question, a=x, and b=y/10. Plug the values in to get your answer.

Not sure if you've done it correctly? The great thing about factoring is you can always multiply it out to verify.

Thanks for asking,

Azeem
