Dear Sir iam currently working at LMKR pakistan. Sir i have completed my M.Phil in Geophysics from Quaid-i-Azam unversity Islamabd.

Sir i have used Gasmann fluid subsitution analysis and find the effect on seismic properties by changing water saturation. Sir i have performed these analysis at four different water saturation levels e.g. 0.56, 0.75, 0.85 and 100%. Now sir i want to make contours of these saturation levels, I have only depth, Vp and density data at these saturation levels, So my question is that how i can make contours?

Dear Kashif,

I do not understand it fully  but I believe you meant to generate a contour map. If so, you need to get a relationship between water-saturation and Acoustic impedance. Then apply that relationship on a volume or grid.

Otherwise, I will suggest that you use Neural Networks to attempt prediction between a model & seismic impedance.

I would like to answer Geophysical questions with keen interest, specifically exploration related. I want to hear from users for their queries on exploration geophysics/geology. Especially in the discipline of Reservoir Characterization from seismic reflection data. The questions related to basics and interpretational applications would be most welcome. I can also answer queries related to sequence and/or seismic stratigraphy, geology, general geomorphology, seismic geomorphology and other relevant questions. I can not answer the questions related to gravity, magnetic, or resistivity surveying or question related to the fluid dynamics. Such categories are not related to my experience.
