I have traveled our state extensively both in the large towns and cities as well as the smaller and more rural communities. Any questions about things to do, places to stay and perhaps some hidden treasures in our state I would be happy to speak to

Question
My husband and I are planning to go to Savannah from Feb. 19-22.  Where can you recommend us staying? Large hotel? Inn? Ease of getting around?
What do we do with our car...park it or take it through the historic area? We're confused as to what to do about where to stay in particular. In advance, thanks for your advice. Doreen

Answer
Doreen:

I would definitly recommend that you stay in the Historic District and especially on River Street.  The Marriott is nice as is the Hyatt.  YOu can park there at the hotel.  There are several nice B & B in Savannah's and if you pull up a bed and breakfast web site you can see them.  Again...River Street is the key.  Yall will love it.  Not sure where yall are coming in from, but if you have time go over to Sea Island for the day.  It is an hour away and a 5 star resort.  Wonderful homes and bikes.  Next door is St. Simons which is wonderful and very quaint.  If you have a night to spare, go there and stay at the King and Prince Hotel.  You will be glad you did/.  Those islands are about an hour away from Savannah.

Hope this helps.
