Subject: place to stay in Savannah

Question
Benjamin,

I will be visiting Savannah together with my mother for 2 days in September. These will be week-days (not weekend). I will appreciate:
your advice on inexpensive place to stay in historic district of a town
your advice on an interesting (not necceessarily fancy) place to have a supper.

Thank you very much,
Alexei

Answer
Alexei, I am not tremendously familiar with Savannah hotels, but the Mulberry Inn is nice, in the historic district, and not too expensive. I understand this from my godfather's advice on the subject before. Here's a link for that establishment:

Here's a link for the Savannah bed-and-breakfasts:

Regarding restaurants, here's some links for Italian (always a good choice for dinner) and others:

It has been about 10 years since I've traveled to Savannah, so I apologize for my limited understanding of it's attractions. However, I wanted to give you what insight I do have. I will consult with my godfather, since he knows the area very well. Please feel free to email me at zanetha@yahoo.com for further information.

Best wishes,
Benjamin
