Experience I have had hamsters for quite some time now. At this time I have had one hamster have babies and I am planning on another batch in late May. I have experienced the death of hamsters as well. At this moment I have one that is one his way out. He will not make it to morning. Question is there difference between dwarf hamsters and regular hamsters?
Which do you reccomend if im only getting one to be by itself in the cage?
Answer Yes there is a differnce between dwarf and full sized hamster. One obvious difference is that dwarfs are much smaller. There are also more breeds of dwarfs. I personally enjoy syrian hamsters, but either will do fine in a cage by itself.
