Question
QUESTION: do hamsters eat their own excreta or stools which is waste from their body

ANSWER: Yes they can but not all do. They do that to pick up nutrients left in the poop that their bodies didn't absorb the first time around. Nothing to worry about.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: how many times do i feed him in a day cause he sometimes throws up a little white liquid is it due to overeating and i also feed him readily available guinea pig food cause i can't get hamster food here is it ok? sorry to bother u but this is my first pet and i am kind of scared to do something wrong please advise me.HE threw up 2 times in 9 days and he is 3 months old.

Answer
He's probably throwing up because of the guinea pig food. They have a completely different diet and you'll need to switch to normal hamster food asap. That's also why he's likely eating poop, he isn't getting enough nutrients from the guinea pig food. Once you have a bag of hamster food there will be directions on the bag for how much to feed a day, every brand is different.
