My mom is going to a new primary physician next week and Im going to ask him to get a full compressive blood test. I want him to look at her overall chemistry. Is there such a test, what should I ask for. She is on so many medications they are doing more harm then good.
Thanks
Ken
Answer Hi Ken and thanks for writing,
You should ask for a CBC (Complete Blood Count), Electrolytes, Thyroid and serum levels for her medications (some meds need serum levels, but most don't - those that do include meds like Digoxin or Coumadin which are both common with seniors).
