I have lost a recipe I once had for something
called Hessen Salad. It contained chopped
rare roast beef, cooked potatoes, beets,
chopped pickles and perhaps other ingredients
in, I think, a mustard vinaigrette.
Does this sound familiar to you? Can you provide me with a recipe for this salad, or direct me to where I might locate one?

Answer I have never heard of it. I am from Hessen. I will ask my brother the next time I talk to him if he knows what it is. Otherwise, I just don't know. Try about.de and see if there is something about Hessische Kueche on their. I am keeping a copy of your request and if I find anything, I will email you. Sorry, I am not more help. Marlis
