German Language - Konrad gibt alles ... doch er kommt einfach nicht zu Wort

Question
Dear Kurt,

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the excellent help you've given me to date.

Here in Turkey I get good reception for ARD and ZDF and have became quite hooked on the soap “Wege zum Glück”. Obviously the fact that it's in German adds greatly to the attraction!

This is from the soap’s website:

Konrad gibt alles ...
[Interaktiv]

Please could you explain the sentence “Konrad gibt alles ... doch er kommt einfach nicht zu Wort“? I really don't understand it at all.

All the best,

Simon

Answer
Hello Simon
It's difficult to say. You would have to know the television series.
In my opinion it wants to say, without guarantee (not knowing the exact context), that Konrad wants to help, he wants to help with all the knowledge he has, he is a very helpful person, he shows much engagement, but the other person doesn't let him speak because he speaks all the time himself being very busy and not paying attention to Konrad (Richard) thinking only about his own business. It must been a scene with Richard and Konrad. I didn't know that you were living in Turkey...
Greetings,
Kurt
