Answer Hi Darlene,
I think I would first treat for coccidiosis- use sulmet or dimetheox - both liquid water additives but use it right from the bottle instead of adding to the water- this way you know what they have gotten. The dosage is 6TBSP per 100lbs goat weight the first day- and then half of that (3TBSP) for 4 more days- this is given orally- do NOT use Corid- get the Sulmet or DiMethox or Albon liquid if you can find it. All of these use the same dose. 1TBSP equals 15ccs. I might take babies off moms OR at least supplement them with regular whole cows milk from the grocery to help moms have a break from needing to feed kids as well as getting well.
What dosage did you use the Ivomec Plus at? 1cc/40lbs injected SUbQ is what I use. Did you also treat babies? Have you checked for lice? Lice can also make them anemic- I use Ivomec Pour on - poured down the backline from neck to tail - dosage is 1cc/20lbs - use a syringe with no needle and you will have to dribble move a couple inches dribble move etc to make it last the entire way- This CAN be done in conjunction with deworming. Injections of B12 or fortified vit B complex should also help. I see you are doing this ... dosage for B12 is 1cc/100lbs
Is everyone eating? Anyone down? Plenty of electrolytes in all water they drink and add karo syrup or molasses too. How long have they been like this?
