Goats/Re: Update on Migi

Good Evening Donna,
Update - Migi seems much better today so i didn't give him another shot. I monitered him all day today his behavior and his eating habits and all seems fine so far except his poop so will have to wait and see on his poop. The weather is horrible here this whole week just drizzling & strong winds. Donna i wanted to ask u what is TERRAMYCIN soluble powder is this the ANTIBIOTIC powder form for LA-200 OXYTETRACYCLINE HYDROCHLORIDE that can be given orally? and can i use this like the DURAMYCIN 1 tsp mix with his VITAMIN B-COMPLEX REGIMEN? Please let me know Thanks Donna!

Me & Migi

Thanks for the update.  Re the terramycin oral powder that is different than the oxytetracycline.  There is a tetracycline oral powder available - on line or many feed stores have this - it is most likely found in the poultry section if you decide to look for it.  If you use the tetracycline powder it is also 1 tsp for Migi for preventative use.  For use as an antibiotic when a goat is ill the amount is usually 3 teaspoons for an adult goat (100 pounds or so) twice a day for 5 full days.  Hope this helps - Donna
