Goats/Goat Surgical after care and preperation?

I'm taking my buck to be neutered (cut) at the vet monday and I was wondering what I should do for him to prepare him for it and if there is anything I should look out for after he is done?
Should I keep him confined or let him run around as he pleases?
Thank you.

I would withhold grain 12 hours before the surgery. After I would keep him confined with a mellow goat that won't hurt him. Give plenty of hay and water and make sure that the area of the procedure remains clean.  After the sugery make sure you give him calcium chloride. You can buy it in a bag or in a feed. Feeds that have it are Nobel goat by Purinia sold at tractor supply or ADM goat feed sold at southern states and other small feed company's.

I can answer anything relating to goat health. From medications, dosages, what medication you can give to pregnant does, what meds you can give for Urinary Calculi, I can help with birthing complications, preparations, and after the birthing. Goat diet, such as percent protein needed for different age groups. foraging questions, best hay for them and different types of hay. hoof trimming, milking and basic dairying. bottle raising kids, disbudding kids, wethering males. the only questions I can not answer are the ones about serious injury as i am not a vet, nor am I able to asses the situation with out seeing the animals.

I have raised dairy and meat goats for most of my life. Degree in biology and dairy sciences. I have birthed hundreds of goats, milked goats for ages, made products from the milk. disbudded several kids of all sizes.
