Just purchased LaMancha Whether, got him home and for the last two days he has green discharge coming from nose that does not seem to be mucus but cud. Is this normal? If not what is the best course of action?
Thank you very much
Answer Sorry for the delay in answering. Sounds like has shipping fever/pneumonia. Is he on a bottle or weaned? What has he been eating? Is he currently eating and drinking. Is he pooping and peeing? Would start him on penicillin at 1.5 cc intramuscularly twice a day for 4 days. What is his temperature? Would also give probiotics and vitamin B complex - probiotics of yogurt or regular human probiotics along with one vitamin B complex tablet crushed and dissolved in a little hot water, cooled and given orally once a day for 4 days. Hope this helps - let me know - Donna
