Goats/Pasture

Question
I need to fertilize my pasture. once I fertilise how long do I have to wait before I can let the goats back on it to graze?

Answer
What type of fertilizer are you using? Different fertilizers can be more or less toxic if eaten. Usually there are specifics as to "off time" after use on the package.  Generally would advise waiting until the rain has washed off the fertilizer on the current grass, since goats generally only eat the tops of the grass stems so this makes it generally safe for goats.  Hope this helps - Donna
