Goats/Goat labor

Question
Hi, sorry to ask on another thing but it wouldnt let me reply back. But we recently went out to check on our doe that has had the white mucous coming out that turned brown and came out. Well she has more white mucus coming out now it isnt alot but does that mean her plug isnt out yet? Should she have more?

Answer
No worries about questions.  The mucous plug can be about 1/2 teaspoon to up to 2 teaspoons of the whitish mucous.  It is possible that she is pushing her plug out and going into labor too.  Is she peeing a lot? Is she getting up and down a lot?  Any head pushing?  Any star gazing? Can you feel anything at the tail head area or just before it as the kid can sometimes be felt in the birth canal there.  Hope this helps.
