Goats/Pygmy goat constipated

Question
My Pygmy goat got into my bird bread and she ate about 1/2 a loaf before I could catch her.  Today her belly is fat and she didn't get up for breakfast.  She seems uncomfortable.  She won't eat or drink.  Can I give her a human laxative?  Thank you.

Answer
Would use mineral oil (human type) as soon as you can - this helps move along the most likely lump of bread in her system - use 1/2 cup per 75 pounds of body weight given every 2 hours for 3 dosings - you give this as an oral drench.  This will also help with the gas she is getting from the blockage.  Hope this helps - Donna
