Golden Retrievers/Treatment for possible muscle pull

My Chocolate Lab was bounding through the snow and later that day was holding his right hind paw off the ground and limping around. He had knee surgery on that leg a year ago. When he was examined by the Vet it was determined that the knee was fine but he had pulled his groin. Treatment is anti-inflammatory once a day and stretching and massaging twice daily and on leash outside to go the bathroom. A long recovery time but better then more surgery.
