Question
When hitting woods (3 wood, 5 wood) and driver off the tee, I am think I am striking the heel of the club.

The ball ends up approx 100-150 yards on the left with a low and straight trajectory.

It is a weak strike and I not feeling comfortable.

Please could you help.

Anand.

Answer
Anand,

It sounds as if you are swinging the club on an outside to inside downswing path causing the club to get further from your body and exposing the heel of the club to strike the ball. This will also cause the ball to go low and left for a right handed golfer. Without seeing your swing it's difficult to remedy the situation. If you can send me a video of your swing to pgapro198699@yahoo.com and I will take a look at it and respond.

Thanks for the question,

Michael
