Golf - Ping Zing & Ping Zing2
Expert: Jim McCleery - 10/18/2009
Question What is the difference in the two models and why were they not popular being they both hit the ball so straight?
Answer Mickey,
The zing and zing 2 clubs are very similar to be sure. These were the models to replace the Ping Eye 2 model which is wildly popular today. The big difference is in the sole of the club and the toe. The sole is wider on the eye2 model in comparison to the zing model. The toe has more of a point on the zing models than the eye models.
The common design between them is the amount of offset. These models have generous offset. That allows the golfer a bit more time to get the club face square and then the ball flies straight.
Sorry for the delay. I did not see this in the question pool..
Thanks Again
Jim
