Golf - Scorecard disqualification

Expert: Ken Tannar - 10/22/2009

Question
Hi Ken,
I am trying to clear up what is needed to be shown on the scorecard for it to be deemed valid, i.e. name, date, event type, handicap, golflink number, correct score, marker and player signatures, does a player leave himself open to be disqualifed by leaving any of the above off the card?

Any help appreciated
Regards David

Answer
Hi David,

What's required depends on the tournament committee guidelines. In most cases, what's required is Name, date, correct score for each hole, marker and player signatures. The committee would do the additions of scores (they need to verify anyhow) as well as looking up the player's correct handicap.

Hope this helps.
