Question I swing really fast compared to my friends but i rarely get the ball onto the fairway. Would slowing down my swing help me to stay on the fairways?
Answer Daryl,
Slowing your swing speed is important and I will give you two swing tips to achieve this. The first is to lighten your grip on the club. Relax the muscles. Make sure your forearms are soft not tense. This will work wonders for the pace of your swing. The second tip is to use your shoulders to take the club back on your backswing. This will also slow your take away and give you more time to make a good transition into your downswing.
Do the above and your swing will become more consistent and reliable. You will see plenty of fairways. That's a guarantee.
