Golf - HIP ROTATION

Expert: dan - 3/20/2009

Question
HELLO I have been working with my golf instructor and I would like to know how to create more hip and shoulder rotation at impact position. My shoulders at impact are at approximately 17 degrees and my hips 24 degrees open. My ball flight is  right to left.Do you have any tip or drills that would help me get more open with my hips and shoulders at impact.

Answer
Denis:

Can you focus on your thumb footfinger of your right foot a little more?  In other word, you can firmly ankle thumb footfinger into ground while you are on the top before down-swinging.  Then, rotate your right foot very quickly using thumb footfinger.

This will surely generate additional hip/shoulder rotation.

Thanks for question.
