Golf - senior tee's

Expert: Eddie Kilthau - 6/22/2009

Question
What age is reqquired to use the senior tee box?

Answer
Hi Steve:

No requirement, it's all about ability level.  Golf courses usually use different colors of tees and have names for them like Ladies Tees, Senior Tees, Men's Tees, Championship Tees, etc.  In reality, the tees you play should correspond to your ability.  No age is required for that.  If distance is becoming a problem or if you don't hit the ball quite as far as you used to, why not play a set of tees up from where you are playing from now?  It would be a lot more fun and will still be challenging.  Golf is supposed to be fun, don't brutalize yourself if you don't have to.
